This walk starts at Clatsop Community College and continues uphill to the famed (and recently refurbished) Astoria Column. Magnificent views of the Columbia River, Washington headlands and the Pacific Ocean are found all along this route, as well as overhead views of Astoria. Hiking boots are recommended for an area of trail.
People may register for the walk anytime between 8 a.m. and noon at the college. The driving directions say to go up 16th street (from Hwy. 30) to Lexington Street and turn left to the college.
There will be no Mossback carpool for this walk. Persons may contact our club president, Sally Ross, 541-726-7169 or 541-547-3949, for transportation possibilities.
