It's time again to do the quarterly cleanup of the Eastgate Trails along the north bank of the Willamette River east of I-5. There are three scenic trails there, each about a mile (1.6 km.) long, so we may divide into groups to do them depending on how many Mossbacks volunteer.
No experience necessary! The only thing you need to bring is work gloves; the Willamalane Park and Recreation District provides "grabbers", buckets, and trash bags for gathering the litter.
We'll meet at 9 a.m. at the Willamalane Adult Activity Center, 215 West C Street in Springfield and go from there to the west end of D Street to begin our "work". Depending on the number of volunteers, we'll probably finish our "work" between 10:30 and 11 a.m. Some of the "workers" may decide to go out to lunch together after that, but this is purely optional, of course.
Any interested walker is invited to join us as we make a festive outing out of it.
