5 km. (3.1 miles) or 10 km. (6.2 miles), both rated easy.
This hosted walk goes through the historic downtown and Pioneer Park and allows visits to the Linn County History Museum and the Moyer House. Downtown will host a street festival, with vendors, open shops and decorated trees.
Carpools will leave the Willamalane Adult Activity Center, 215 West C Street in Springfield, at 8 a.m. and return there about 2:30 p.m. Each rider pays the driver $5 to help cover car expenses. Following the walk, the carpoolers will probably decide between eating from the street vendors or stopping at a restaurant to have lunch together; however, lunch arrangements are always optional for each rider/walker.
People traveling to Brownsville on their own should plan to meet the carpoolers at about 8:45 a.m. at the start point, the Brownsville City Hall at 255 North Main Street (cross street Madison). Or, they may choose to do the walk on their own, starting from the City Hall anytime between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
